Batteries

The list of all batteries. Visible only in the battery and Flight Book View !

New battery
	To change the sorting, or to switch to flight log view (without battery managemet)
	Full Battery, Empty Battery, stored (half full battery), inactive battery Clicking on the battery will propose all currently available operations based on the actual state of the battery. For example for an empty battery load,store or a multiple event like loaif you want to capture both operations at once. Note: If you set a battery to inactive it can be deleted.
	A Click on a category will collapse the group and the batteries are shown as small bars.
Scan	RC-Log allows each battery to be fitted with a QR Label. Simply print out this page. If a full battery is scanned the app will open a new flight. If the battery is not full it will propose a load cycle. So best is to scan after each load and flight.

New battery / edit:

Number	Continuous battery number. If this a new battery it can be changed.
Name	Manufacturer's name
Capacity (mAh)	The rated capacity of the battery
Zellen (s)	Anzahl der Zellen des Akkus
Dischargerate ( C )	The manufacturer rated discharge rate.
Loadrate ( C )	The maximum rated loadrate by the manufacturer. (If you do not know take 1C)
Startcycles	Number of cylces this battery had before using rc-log.
Date of purchase
Battery still in use.	If the battery is marked as not in use it can be deleted in the overview

Models

Summary of all your models. Clicking on a model will allow you to enter a new flight or service event.

New model
	To change the view .. Ether flight book view (without batteries) or flight log view + batteries

New model or edit.

Model number	Continuous model number can be changed on new models.
Model type
Name
Number of flight batteries to be collected	Every time a flight is recorded for this model, the program expects the corresponding number of batteries to be selected. Those are then changed to the empty state. If you use the only „flight Log View“ this is not relevant. 1 battery. The default. You should use this option even when you build one 12s battery out of 2x6s and load and fly it as a 12s battery . 2 batteries. If you load your 12s/10s as 2 seprate packs. No battery: for nitro models or if you do not care ( like in the flight log only view)
Date of purchase
Costs	Purchase price
	To select the model picture from the gallery
In use	If the model is no longer marked as in use, it can be deleted in the overview

Events

The filterable list of all events. To log a new events it's recommended to go to the batteries or models and click there. If a flight is logged on the airfield, it makes sense to activate gps.

Dropdown	Filter for the events.
Slider	They recenter themselfs to cover a wide entry range and still having a good resolution. If you have troubles simply enter the value in the number field.
Event Type	Depending on what you want to log.
Model selection	If you log a flight by clicking / scanning a battery the correct model will be selected the second time you use this battery as the app learns.
Flight time	The actual flight time (optional)
Capacity	The actually charged or discharged capacity. Read it from your charger (optional)
Internal Resistance (RI)	If your Charger automatically measures the internal resitance during charging, you can enter it. (optional)
Load / Dischargerate	The load / discharge rate used in this cycle (optional)
Costs	If you log a service or repair event (by clicking on the model) (optional)

Statistics

	To filter the corrsponding models or batteries.
	Saves the actual graphics to the sd card. Folder /Pictures/ . Additionally a excel readable csv File is created with the name of the statistic Note: Please do not run the app as long the sd card is used by the pc.
RI / loadcycle	The graph of the internal resitance per loadcycle.
RI normalized	To compare diffrent batteries the internal resitance is recalulated to a single cell 1000mAh battery.
Capacity/ cycle	How much was loaded per cycle
Flights Day/Week
Flighttime / Week	Wie oben
Consumption (mA/min)	Average consumtion during flight
Motor Power (Watt)	The average motor power during flight
C-Rating (average)	How high was the load on the battery during flight.

Shared RC-Maps

Is the attempt to make a real community based rc-map. This means anyone can add,comment, rate or upload pictures. If a place is invalid simply rate it as -1 as long as the total rating is positive it will stay on the map. If you have gps enabled when you log a flight the app will ask you how you want rate this new place.

Usead properly this tool is extremly powerfull, but lives only by the help of the users. There is no guardian who will accept or reject new places it all depends o your votes/ratings. This service is provided free of charge and of course there is no right of function or whatever. I reserve me the right to block certain users or discontinue the service or to change it.

Registration / Check name	Each User has to choose a name, so he confirms that he gives his ratings to his best kowledge.
	„Points of Intrest“ The App supports kmz files (Google Earth Placemarks). When a file is found in the /download/ Folder it will get converted to a .rclog file for faster handling. If the app does not find a kmz file it will ask if it should download Gregg Putmanns RC Clubs.kmz .
	Center / display own positon. If GPS is activated a marker will be set on the current positon. If you click on it the ratin dialog will be opend and you can add a new place.
	Display all own Places with no reagard on the rating.
	Display common places with positive ratings. For example if you see the label „2.5 HG“. Tells you this place has a combined rating of 2.5 for heli and glider.
	If you click on an existing place the detail dialog will open. First you will see the combined rating . Whith „>“ you can skip throug the ratings for each model type. If you click on the text self you can add/change your rating. If you click on a picture it will be zoomed.
	To select a picture for this place out of the gallery
	Sends your comment / picture to the server.
Adding a manual place	Zoom into the map then click on it to set a marker. Now you can move the map to correct the positon. Then click again on the marker to rate / create this place. Note: If you want to correct a position simply create a new place the old one will be moved automatically to the new position if it is near enough otherwise a new place is created. (You can then simply rate the old one with -1).
Navigation	If you press a long time on a Place it will start the Navigation. Don't forget to rate the place after your flights ;)

FAQ

Data backup / copy: RC-Log saves all data on the sd card as xml file /Android/data/net.rcscout.lipo/files/data.xml additionally 10 backup files are created (for each session) if somethig breaks, you can try to copy the newest of the data_savX.xml to data.xml and restart the app. Please make shure you do not run the app as long the sd card is accessed by the pc.
Barcode. Of course you can design your onw labels but it makes no sense to code more than needed (Battery Id) into the label. Simply make a Barcode whith text a123 for battery 123.
How can I help ? Shared Maps lives from its Users. This means the more aktive users the better maps will get. So maybe tell your friends on facebook / forums / flighing field about this app. Or link it in your Blog / Homepage / Facebook / Signatur / Profil..

Known Bug: The App tries to lock the actual orientaion because its annoying if it changes during scanning. But if locking does not work and you change orientation this could lead to a chrash..
